Macross2 Pico8 game

I've followed LazyDev tutorials,more than 30hours and finished this game last year and left it and pursue other things like learning Blender etc. I realised that I'm not sure when I'll be back to Pico8 again but here's my 1st shmup and in the end there's out of memory prompt. I'm not sure how to fix it but just enjoy the game. 

Pico8 is hard for non-programmers. I thought there was a structure in the coding but there aren't or very loosely codes put together to make thigs work.  Thank you so much Christian for the tutorials on youtube. It is my 1st time learning coding again. The first code I learn was HTML long time ago post Y2K. But hope to return to Pico8 again someday soon.
